A workshop on Registration and Filing of online Monthly Statistical Return (MSR) & Annual Statistical Return (ASR) under TSRS portalorganised by Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Coimbatore at SITRA Coimbatore on 27.05.2022.
The said programme was in hybrid mode(physical & virtual).Shri Maharnab Manna, Deputy Director, Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, Shri M Balasubramanian, Deputy Director& OIC, Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Coimbatore, Dr Prakash Vasudevan, Director, SITRA, Shri P. R. Shanmugam, Joint Secretary, TASMA, Dr. K.Selva Raju, Secretary General, SIMA, Shri Venkatesh Prabhu, Manager, SISPA and representatives from various Textile Manufacturing Units& Association had participated in the said workshop.
The inaugural speech was given by Dr. K. Selvaraju, Secretary General, SIMA, he shared his vast experience and historical back ground for the requirement of submission of statistical returns. He further informed that all the textile manufacturing units across textile value chains should invariably submit mandatory returns under TSRS as well as Hank Yarn Packing Obligation. Guest speech was given by Shri Venkatesh Prabu, Manager, SISPA and insisted that all the textile manufacturing units should file the hank yarn and monthly return within stipulated time without fail.
Shri M Balasubramanian, Deputy Director& OIC, Regional Office of the Textile Commissioner, Coimbatore, explained about the necessity of collection of statistical data like consumption of raw material, Production, Deliveries, Month end Stock, Employment, installed capacity etc which will be used for suitable policy interventions by the government for the promotion of the textile sector. He also informed that henceforth to avail any benefit under Govt. Schemes by the Textile Manufacturing unit, the filing & submission of Statutory Statistical Returnsis likely to be mademandatory. He also informed that filing & submission of MSR &ASR and Hank Yarn Quarterly Returns by the Textile units should be in full-fledged level, hence requested all the Textile Manufacturing units to register and submit the returns through online to the Textile Commissioner Office regularly.
Shri P. R. Shanmugam, Joint Secretary, TASMA, Dr. K. Selva Raju, Secretary General, SIMA, Shri Venkatesh Prabhu, Manager, SISPA jointly informed that it is oblige to the textile units to submit the Returns and requested all their member units to submit the returns without fail.
During the programme, Shri Maharnab Manna, Deputy Director, Office of the Textile Commissioner, Mumbai, made a powerpoint presentation and explained about the registration procedure and Procedure for filing & submission of MSR & ASR under TSRS portal for various textile Manufacturing segments. Thereafter, spot registrations were done and doubts raised by the various units were cleared. Meeting ended with the vote of thanks.
